Leca Finland and Leca Poland had open their doors to receive the community!

After a long period closed, was time to open our doors and celebrate together with the local communities.
In May, Leca Finland received around 400 participants in the their “Open Day”. Visitors were told about Leca Finland's many responsibility-related measures, such as the new wood pellet plant, which will reduce the production´s CO2 emissions. Additionally, to the visit, was possible know more about our Leca® Lightweight Aggregate solutions. Other activities were available doe the special organization of Kouvola Football Association and a lunch was offered to the participants.
In June, was time for Leca Poland do the “LECA FOOTBALL DAY” in the production plant. This year, 450 inhabitants of Gniew and the surrounding area visited our plant, a new attendance record. Attractions included a tour of the factory and the clay pits, hiking trails, plenty of competitions and attractions for the whole family related to football, but also a barbecue, sausage baking and sweet refreshments.
The event was attended by the Mayor of the City and Municipality of Gniew Maciej Czarnecki and his deputy Joanna Kamińska. Other valued guests have also visited, i.e. Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland Marcin Drewa and Undersecretary at the Ministry of State Assets Karol Rabenda. During the meeting, was presented the process of production to the Ministers, discussed the possibilities of its use, but also presented our policy and initiatives taken in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection.
After this unique meeting, we were honored to receive written congratulations from the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland. Mr. Marcin Drewa, Advisor to the President, personally appreciated our efforts to develop the construction industry, sustainable development, but also to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of our region and support local social and sports projects. We are extremely honored by this distinction.
